The LA Lightning struck again, when at the ALL STAR game the Lightning made up most of the team, and dominated the game against the East in a one sided game.
Hassan Stephens amazed with his hops, while the team in general worked like a well oiled machine. Follow the game from http://www.lalightning.net/webcast.htm with Rob Lemons, and Erik Evelhoch the two most professional announcers in this area.

here are the images of the amazing LA Lightning in action in Gary, Indiana.
I am honored to have been in the presence of these great athletes, traveled with them, and captured them in action.
Thank you to Mark Harwell, Ron Quarterman, the entire LA Lightning team, broadcasters, and everyone in the IBA.
Thank you for this great opportunity and experience.
Thanks to Joseph Cisneros, for helping me get this gig also. See you guys in the summer.
Hi guys, here is a photo I took today in memory of the fallen.
I wrote this poem in remembrance….
Amazing game today in Calabazas, California where the LA Lightning beat the Splash 117-99.
I had so much fun shooting today, and even got a few remote shots from behind the backboard.
This is great for experience and the access is awesome. I hope all of you enjoy these photos as much as I like taking them. Leave comments and follow the blog. My website is www.michaellopezphoto.com

Hi guys, this is just a personal reference why I shoot with manual focus.
I shoot with a 1D Mark IV, and I love it. Recently I shot at a college baseball game, and took a Nikon D3s, which is an amazing camera. I usually shoot with the focus on the AF button so I don’t rely on the trigger finger. This time I was at 3rd base covering a runner on third, knowing a bunt was coming and I prefocused (unfortunately with autofocus) on home base on the catcher.
The hit came, and a high throw to the catcher was in route. I started my shooting with the Nikon D3s and the focus was on the trigger finger. The next series of shots are the reason I started shooting manually again, pre-focusing on the catcher and focusing with my fingers..
Is it the cameras fault? No, of course not. I didn’t know the equipment, and no I rely on my finger focusing more than pre-focus.
This is my personal preference, and you can by all means shoot with AF or not.
I am just sharing one of the reasons I shoot like this.
I look forward to shooting a lot more.
Be safe
